Connect2Counselling Services offers a range of counselling supports for individuals 18 and older. Whether counselling for anxiety, depression
or relationship challenges or healing from trauma, the Mental Health and Wellness Therapists will work with you to establish and reach your
goals. The two therapists have over 60 years experience between them in direct client care and supporting teams in nonjudgmental environments.

Denise Hillier
BSW, MSW, RSW
Denise Hillier is a licensed clinical Social Worker with 30 years' experience. She received her Bachelor and Master of Social Work Degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Denise has extensive experience working in the field of complex Mental Health issues. She has provided direction and supervision to teams who support individuals coping with Mental Health and Addictions challenges. She has received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Couple Counselling (Level 1), and Critical Incident Stress Management. She is a trained Facilitator on Compassion Fatigue and the Road to Mental Readiness. Denise specializes in individual therapy in, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Stress Management, Self-esteem/Empowerment, Borderline Personality Disorder and those who have been impacted by violence.

Gail Thornhill
BSW, MSW, RSW
Gail Thornhill is a licensed clinical Social Worker with over 30 years’ experience. She received her Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Gail has extensive experience with a variety of diverse populations in both rural and urban settings. She has worked primarily with adults in the areas of addictions, mental illness, trauma, and victims of violence. Gail has provided guidance and supervision to staff teams who have worked with clients that are coping with many complex and challenging life situations. Gail is an experienced facilitator/trainer in a number of areas, but particularly related to vulnerable populations. Passionate about helping people, Gail believes that everyone can realize their full potential and live their best life possible. Gail specializes in individual therapy in the areas of trauma, addictions, mental health challenges, grief and loss, and women’s health. She has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
